Hello everyone!
Please join us at our next monthly Azerbaijani dance workshops and potluck on Friday, 26th of July at 7:00! Please don’t come late!! We will have more time to dance.We will have an evening of Azerbaijani and Caucasus region dances (Yalli, Lezginka, etc.)! For those who do not know, Yalli is a group dance where participants hold hands and dance in a circle/line. We provide instructions! Don’t worry about making mistakes as they are a necessary part of learning, so feel free to join.
We specially invite our dance students to come and practice their moves! 😉NOTES:
– Cover charge of $5 – $10 cash at the door (kids are free).
– We foster a kind and supportive environment.
– No previous dance experience necessary!
– Wear comfortable clothes – you will sweat!
– Some people dance barefoot or with socks. Comfy shoes with a suede shoes are great too.
– If you bring a homemade dish, that’ll be great. Other foods are welcome too (no chips!).TRANSPORT:
– The event is at 25 Cecil street.
– Downtown Toronto near Chinatown/ UofT Campus.
– Plenty of free parking at the back of the building.
– Super accessible with public transport (TTC).– Kids are welcome, but it is the responsibility of the parents to keep an eye on them specially when our dance group is performing.
