Rasoul got his master degree in theoretical physics at Isfahan University of Technology. He moved to Vancouver in 2007 and changed his field of study to experimental soft condensed matter at Simon Fraser University (SFU). After his PhD, he worked with local companies as a researcher. But he came back to SFU in 2016 to pursue his passion for teaching.
