IF YOU ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING

We pay for the services of certified sign-language interpreters for the theoretical parts of the driving course. 

To take advantage of this service, you can either contact us or contact or a sign-language interpretation service mandated by us in order to have the cost of an interpreter authorized. The mandated sign-language interpretation service must offer its services in the area in which the driving school is located. You must:

OPENING THE FILE

If this is your first licence application, you must present 2 official documents, including one with photo:

At least one of the two documents must be:

  • The original copy of the birth certificate issued by the Directeur de l’état civil du Québec after January 1, 1994, or by the government body responsible for vital statistics in another Canadian jurisdiction (note that in the case of Ontario, the accepted documents are the short form birth certificate or the original “Certified copy of birth registrationThis link will open in a new window”, which includes an official number and is issued by the Office of the Registrar General of Ontario)
  • A Canadian Citizenship Certificate with photo
  • A Canadian passport
  • An official Canadian Armed Forces identity card
  • A Certificate of Indian Status

The other document may be:

  • A health insurance card
  • A driver’s licence issued by another jurisdiction
If you were not born in Canada

At least one of the two documents must be:

  • A Canadian Citizenship Certificate with photo
  • A Canadian passport
  • An official Canadian Armed Forces identity card
  • A Confirmation of Permanent Residence document and a Permanent Resident Card
  • Other proof of known legal presence in Canada

The other document may be:

TO OBTAIN YOUR LEARNER’S LICENCE

You must:

Step 1 – Present the Consent of a Person Having Parental Authority (PDF, 103 KB) form, duly completed and signed by your mother, father or legal guardian, if you are under age 18

Step 2 – Provide an attestation from the driving school confirming that you successfully completed Phase 1 of the driving course (if you have attended more than one driving school, you must provide the certificate obtained from each one)

Step 3 – Pass the vision test and fill out the Declaration of Illness or Impairment form

Step 4 – Pay the applicable fee for the learner’s licence

The practical training at the driving school consists of:

  • 15 hours of driving on the road with an instructor
  • 24 hours of theory

You should take advantage of this opportunity to accumulate as many hours of driving as possible to gain confidence and make regular progress.

OBLIGATIONS OF LEARNER’S LICENCE HOLDERS

  • Always drive accompanied by a person who has held a valid Class 5 driver’s licence for at least two years and who is qualified to provide you with help and advice
  • Do not drive between midnight and 5 a.m.

You must have held a learner’s licence for at least 10 months.

To pass the knowledge test, you must prepare:

  • By doing the exercises in the 12 modules of the course, available in the Driving Course section of our website

Please note that using a portable electronic device (phone, watch, etc.) to record images during the road test is prohibited. If you fail to respect this rule, you will immediately fail the test.

CANCELLING THE TEST

If you cannot make it to your test, we ask that you cancel the appointment at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise you will be charged a cancellation fee.

In case of poor weather, check to make sure your appointment has not been cancelled.

ON THE DAY OF THE TEST

You must:

Vehicle used to take the road test

  • We do not provide vehicles for road tests. You must report to your test with a vehicle that is safe and in good mechanical condition. The examiner will check the vehicle’s main systems and mechanical components, including the windshield, side windows, rear window and rear-view and side mirrors.   • Regardless of the vehicle used, you will not be allowed to carry any passengers or pets.

The examiner will ask you to install a removable sign on the vehicle’s roof bearing the words “Examen de conduite”, which we will provide.

If you rent an automobile

Bring the rental contract or receipt with you to your test.

Road test procedure

Before the test, the examiner will inform you about the test procedure. After the test, whether you pass or fail, the examiner will take the time to indicate your strong points and those that need some improvement.

Please note that using a portable electronic device (phone, watch, etc.) to record images during the road test is prohibited. If you fail to respect this rule, you will immediately fail the test.

If you fail the road test…

You must wait at least 28 days before you will be allowed to retake the road test. You will have to schedule another appointment.

TO KEEP YOUR PROBATIONARY LICENCE

You must:

  • Have fewer than 4 demerit points on your driving record
  • Abide by the zero-alcohol rule while driving (for more information, visit the Drinking and Driving: Impairment and Consequences page)
  • Comply with the rule regarding the number of passengers aged 19 or younger you are allowed to carry between midnight and 5 a.m., if you are19 years of age or younger and have held a probationary licence for less than 12 months.

Regardless of the number of months you have driven with a probationary licence, members of your immediate family are not taken into account in the authorized number of passengers:

  • Your married, civil union or de facto spouse
  • Your children and your spouse’s children
  • Your brothers and sisters
  • Any other child of your father or mother or of either’s spouse

Restrictions on the number of passengers aged 19 or younger do not apply if you are accompanied by someone who has held a driver’s licence for at least 2 years, who is in a position to give you assistance and advice and who is seated in the front passenger’s seat.

OBTAINING THE DRIVER’S LICENCE

If you maintain a good driving record, you may obtain your Class 5 driver’s licence after 2 years.

The probationary licence does not authorize its holder to act as an accompanying driver for a learner driver

To act as an accompanying driver, you must have held a valid driver’s licence for at least 2 years.

برای دریافت گواهینامه  شما باید در اولین فرصت با شماره ۵۱۴۹۵۴۷۷۷۱ تماس بگیرید و زمانی را برای انجام تستهای اولیه مانند تست بینایی و سلامتی و همچنین امتحان آیین نامه تعیین کنید.

در این تماس باید حتما درباره مدراک لازم که باید به همراه داشته باشید اطلاع حاصل کنید. قرار معمولا برای ۴ تا ۶ هفته بعد تعیین میشود. سعی کنید قرار را در ساعات اولیه وقت اداری بگیرید به خاطر اینکه اگر طبق نظر افسر و همین طور مدارک مربوط به سابقه رانندگیتان از کلاسهای تئوری و عملی رانندگی معاف باشید ممکن است بتوانید در صورت قبولی در امتحان آئین نامه در همان روز در امتحان شهر نیز شرکت کنید و گواهینامه خود را بگیرید.

توجه داشته باشید که ممکن است مراحل آزمون که شامل

  1. ارائه مدارک
  2. 2.       گرفتن عکس
  3. معاینه چشم
  4. 4.       پرکردن فرمهای مختلف
  5. انجام تست و آزمونهای آئیننامه و شهر

در زمان مقرر به مرکز گرفتن امتحان، با مدارک زیر مراجعه کنید:

  • برگه Landing  یا کارت PR
  • شماره کارت مدیکال
  • پاسپورت
  • اصل گواهینامه ایران و ترجمه آن که حتما باید در کبک صورت گرفته باشد
  • هزینه ثبت نام

نکته این که انجام مراحل فوق ممکن است تمام روز یا تا پایان وقت اداری طول بکشد پس بخصوص اگر فرزند یا فرزندان خود را به همراه دارید تمهیداتی فراهم کنید تا زمان انتظار برایتان مشکل ساز نشود.

نکته دیگر این که در هنگام مراجعه حتما اصل مدارک خود را به همراه داشته باشید و مطمئن شوید ترجمه ها مورد تایید اداره راهنمایی و رانندگی باشد (در این مورد میتوانید به صورت تلفنی سوال کنید) وگرنه قرار خود را از دست میدهید و باید مجددا قراری برای آینده تعیین کنید.

در فرصتی که تا روز امتحان آئین نامه باقی است شما میتوانید با مطالعه جزوه ها و یا سی دی های موجود خود را برای این آزمون آماده کنید. در تماس تلفنی به شما گفته میشود چه کتابهایی را باید بخوانید. اما معمولا کتاب و سی دی های مربوط به امتحان آئیننامه در کتابخانه های محلی موجود است و یا با کمی پرس و جو از دوستان و آشنایان میتوانید آنها را مجانی تهیه کنید. امتحان کتبی با رایانه و به صورت چندگزینه ای انجام میشود و شما میتوانید نمونه سوالات امتحانی را در بعضی وبسایتها از جمله وبسایت اداره راهنمایی رانندگی  پیداکنید. مطالعه نمونه سوالات امتحانی کمک بزرگی است اما برای شرکت در آزمون تنها به این سوالات اکتفا نکنید و حتما کتابها را نیز مطالعه کنید.

امتحان به هر دو زبان انگلیسی و فرانسه برگزار میشود و شما میتوانید برای امتحان از مترجم هم استفاده کنید که البته باید قبلا به اداره راهنمایی رانندگی اطلاع دهید. در بعضی موسسات آموزش رانندگی ایرانی ممکن است بتوانید جزوهها را به زبان فارسی هم پیدا کنید ولی توصیه این است که به هر زبانی که میخواهید امتحان دهید کتابها را به همان زبان مطالعه کنید.

حتی اگر راننده خوبی هستید امتحان کتبی رانندگی را جدی بگیرید زیرا شما را برای امتحان عملی آماده میکند. چرا که بر خلاف انتظار، راننده های حرفه ای که از ایران می آیند در امتحان عملی و حتی امتحان آئین نامه بیشتر مردود میشوند.

بعد از قبولی در امتحان کتبی یا تئوری که Knowledge test  نیز گفته میشود شما باید در امتحان عملی یا شهر شرکت کنید. اگر سابقه رانندگی شما به حساب نیاید شما باید در یکی از موسسات آموزش رانندگی دوره های تئوری و عملی را بگذرانید. البته در این حالت بین امتحان تئوری و عملی باید دست کم ده ماه فاصله باشد. اما اگر سوابق رانندگی شما قابل قبول باشد میتوانید بلافاصله (در همان روز امتحان تئوری یا با چند روز فاصله) در امتحان عملی شرکت کنید. البته به شما توصیه میکنیم حتما قبل از امتحان دست کم در یک یا دو جلسه تمرین رانندگی شرکت کنید تا با مقررات و اصول رانندگی در کبک به خوبی آشنا شوید.

در روز امتحان عملی شما با ماشین خود یا ماشینی که اجاره کرده اید امتحان خواهید داد. اگر میخواهید از ماشین خود یا نزدیکان استفاده کنید متوجه باشید که ماشین باید از استاندارد مناسبی برخوردار باشد و افسر با دقت و وسواس عملکرد ماشین و آنچه به ایمنی آن مربوط میشود مثل کمربند ایمنی، آینه ها، تایر، ترمز و حتی شرایط فنی ماشین را بررسی خواهد کرد و اگر کوچکترین ایرادی ببیند اجازه نخواهد داد شما امتحان بدهید و قرار دیگری برایتان تعیین خواهد کرد به همین دلیل بیشتر افراد ترجیح می دهند از ماشین های اجارهای که مورد تایید است استفاده کنند. این ماشین ها را میتوانید روز امتحان از موسساتی که در مجاورت اداره راهنمایی و رانندگی قراردارند یا موسسهای که در آن تمرین رانندگی کرده اید اجاره کنید.

در امتحان عملی رانندگی سعی نکنید مهارتهای خود در لایی کشیدن یا پارک دوبل تنها در یک حرکت یا دنده معکوس کشیدن را به رخ افسر ممتحن خود بکشید.

این موارد حتی ممکن است باعث مردود شدن شما بشود. در این امتحان که بین ۲۰ تا ۳۰ دقیقه طول میکشد دقت شما در رعایت مسائل ایمنی، توقف به جا، سرعت مناسب، احترام به حقوق سایر رانندگان و عابرین پیاده و توجه به تمام نکاتی که در آئین نامه ذکر شده است مورد ارزیابی قرارمیگیرد.

هزینه اخذ گواهی نامه حدود ۱۵۰ دلار است که باید به این مقدار هزینه احتمالی آموزش یا تمرین و اجاره ماشین را نیز اضافه کرد.
